How Many Gratitude Quotes Should You Make?

Years ago when I first wrote this, I had just read this article by Rob Cubbon on how he’s crushing Facebook by posting 4 times a day.

I decided to try 2 gratitude quotes, one tip graphic, and one link every day in November.

I also posted the gratitude quote images on Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest.

60 graphics?!?

Don’t panic! There are new recommendations for how often to post on social media.

fall leaf with quote, gratitude is the memory of the heart.

If you’re just getting started, make one.

But I highly recommend “batching” your work and making at least 4 or 5 at a time. Then you have enough to post one every #ThankfulThursday in November.

  • Check my graphics for inspiration. Pin the infographic at the end of this post!
  • To keep it simple, pick 4 backgrounds that can all use white OR black text.
  • Set up your first quote. Don’t forget your URL at the bottom. Keep it as a template!
  • Change out the photo and words, but KEEP the font and watermark.
  • Repeat until you’re done.

Believe it or not, you can really crank them out if you just stay consistent with your font and watermark.

Best Fonts for Picture Quotes on Gratitude

The most important thing for your picture quotes is that they’re legible.

  • Choose a font that can be easily read, even at a small size on a mobile phone.
  • Bold, sans serif typefaces work well. My “brand” font is Raleway, so I used a bold version for my quotes.
  • All caps is a popular option, but I prefer upper and lower case.
  • White type for medium to dark backgrounds. A drop shadow makes it pop even more.
  • Choose black type for light backgrounds. Outer glow helps it stand out.
  • Colored type is difficult over a photo with various colors in it already. I’d avoid it.
  • The author’s name and your website can be in a thinner or more decorative font, as their readability isn’t critical.

Take a look at my graphics here to observe how utterly consistent my font use is. Let the photos be what varies. Trust me – they won’t be boring!

Can’t I Just Use Gratitude Quote Images I Find Online?

Designers and other content creators work hard to make beautiful images.

Show a little gratitude (and common sense) – don’t steal their work. Mine included!

You may share any of the graphics I’ve included in this blog post to social media. Keep the image intact, as well as the link to this post.

Do not download my graphics (or anyone else’s) to edit or repost. That’s copyright infringement.

Even if you just can’t make time for creating graphics, you can share these short gratitude quotes as text updates or tweets.

Some I’ve shortened so they work even better for making your graphics. You’ll find the quotes further down in this post.

Get creative and make your own! Snappa makes it easy.

How to Post Your Gratitude Quotes Images

Post your graphic with a question to get viewer engagement!

  • Restate the quote and ask “Do you agree?”
  • Ask followers what they’re grateful for.
  • Ask them to tag someone they’re grateful for.
  • Ask anything related to your quote!

Use These Popular Gratitude Hashtags

Post your graphic with hashtags.

  • No more than one or two on Facebook. #quote
  • No more than 3 on X / Twitter. #quote #qotd #gratitude
  • Now we say NO to hashtags on Pinterest.
  • Post up to 30 hashtags on Instagram. Yes, I do!

Here are some hashtags you can copy to your notepad app to use on Instagram:

What A Difference A Bit Of Gratitude Makes

Gratitude can be simply broken down to appreciating the good things in your life.

It doesn’t always seem simple, though.

When things are hectic or stressful, finding the silver lining can be challenging. However, learning how to embrace gratitude can significantly boost your happiness.

Being grateful offers a host of other benefits you’re probably not aware of, too. Let’s take a closer look at the concept, ways it can improve your life and how to practice it.

About Gratitude

There are many definitions of gratitude.

Some people believe it’s a feeling or emotion. Others look at it as more of a mood.

Still, some folks believe gratitude is a personality trait a person exhibits.

These can all be correct. In essence, gratitude elicits satisfaction and appreciation in a person through feelings, actions or even inherent qualities.

However, even those of us who may be more inclined to feel grateful on a regular basis through our glass-half-full-optimism likely need to work on evoking such an outlook.

Gratitude can be viewed as a practice or something you perform regularly.

Most people practice something because it benefits them. This is true of gratitude.

As with other practices, you’ll get better at demonstrating gratitude the more you work it.

Benefits of Embracing Gratitude

There are many benefits of gratitude; many of them have been scientifically proven.

Once you begin to understand these, chances are good that you’ll see why it’s so important to develop a grateful mindset.

Gratitude can have a positive effect on both physical and mental health.

Research has shown it to improve relaxation, sleep quality and energy levels.

Being thankful for your blessings can enhance your emotional wellness.

You’ll deal better in crisis situations and find you’re more resilient when you’re able to look on the bright side.

This can contribute to better relationships, too. Appreciating the positives in life can simply make you feel happier.

Ways to Practice Gratitude

Recognizing your blessings may not come easily at first, but there are some ways to help make it a habit and a regular part of your routine.

One of the most convenient and impactful methods for cultivating appreciation is through keeping a gratitude journal.

In this practice, you’ll write down three things each day that you’re grateful for, which makes it easier to notice and recognize those good things.

Meditation has also been shown to help.

Also, making an effort to thank someone each day, for even the smallest thing, opens your eyes and heart to abundance.

Giving back and doing good for others can provide tremendous perspective, as well.

Now you have a better idea of just what making a concerted effort to count your blessings can do for your life.

Embracing and expressing gratitude are more important than many of us realize.
